Life’s already a lot to figure out. Considering reaching out or getting help shouldn’t be! The below info will hopefully help. 

  • Yes, absolutely! It’s our general practice to provide each potential client with a free 15 minute consultation. This helps you determine if we are a good fit for you and gives direction on how to move forward. During consultation we gather some information to help us connect you with the best therapist to meet your needs. We briefly explore areas you want to focus on, what brings you to therapy now, and inquire about your scheduling preferences. By the end of the call, you will either have an appointment scheduled, have a time frame of when we can schedule you, or time to consider if you even want to schedule.

  • You can request an appointment by calling our office at 757-204-1683 or emailing us at. adele@somatherapyandwellness.com.

    If you are already a client, you can schedule, change, and cancel appointments via the portal or by contacting the office by phone.

  • After scheduling you will receive an email with a link to activate your client portal. Your intake forms are completely virtual and easy to navigate on the portal. You will need to complete the forms prior to your first appointment as they provide essential information for your therapist to consider in order to provide you with best care.

  • During the portal set up process you will complete a credit card authorization form and enter your credit card information. This information is saved in our portal’s cryptic vault and highly protected. At the end of every session your card will be charged. We require a credit card on file regardless of how you plan to pay. Payment in cash or check is an option for in person clients only and is expected at the time of session.

  • After scheduling you will download the Simple Practice Client Portal app. This app is free. The app has a direct messaging option that is securely HIPPA protected. You can also access this feature in the portal from a computer. Clients should refrain from using email as a form of communication as it is not a HIPPA protected platform. You can also call the office to speak with your therapist at any time.

  • There is a public lot directly behind the office building. Additionally, there is abundant street parking on the numerous side streets surrounding the office.

  • Yes, please provide a 24 hour advance notice for canceled appointments. For appointments canceled outside of that window we charge the full session fee. Shit happens and so do emergencies. We get that, therefore, if you are canceling day-of please call our office or direct message your therapist promptly to let them know what's up. In that case, it is at the Soma therapist's discretion to charge the missed appointment fee.
